How to use Appwrite MCP on Claude Desktop

Hello I'd like to use the Appwrite MCP with Claude Desktop and have set up the connector, but asking questions about my Appwrite instance does not work. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

TL;DR
Appwrite MCP works on Claude Desktop apps like Claude Chat and Claude Cowork, but was not working on Claude Code initially. However, the issue has been resolved and the MCP is now functioning correctly.

Hey!

  • can you see if explicitly asking it to use Appwrite MCP works?
  • see if installing the mcp globally using Claude code cli works, and then it automatically works in desktop?

I’ve faced issues with mcp on claude desktop app myself

It works in Claude Chat and Claude Cowork, but not Claude Code for some reason. Anyway it's working now and you can close this thread. Thank you!
