Hi Appwrite team
I don't have any issues with the changes in pricing....except I was hoping the change would involve something that is an actual problem for me.
Could you please consider changing the per 1000 users fee? ..... Its going to be the thing that makes me go self host.
I want to offer free accounts to all students and teachers in my province, and then in my country, and then in north America. They may use the software 1 or 2 times a year, around September / October. for maybe 1000 calls/operations each............. I want to pay for usage.......not to pay $3 for 1000 records in a database. There is no way.
I mean I can always negotiate a custom license, or my customers could have their own billing account, but I'm just sharing that this number doesn't work for a freemium model in education. The fee is way too high, on the side of ridiculous as viewed through the filter of my own requirements of course. It may be fine for others.
In my case, the growth of usage will not be smooth at all. 1 customer (school board) is many thousands of users.
I will be half way out the door all the time, unless this changes.
Just my feedback. Thanks for the great platform.
Great point
