Attribute Processing

I would really like to not have to create this collection for the 7th time. How do I get the attribute to move from processing to either be deleted or an actual attribute so I can delete it.

TL;DR
Developers are struggling with attribute processing and are unsure how to move it to either be deleted or turned into an actual attribute.
