How to unsubscribe? There seems to be no easy way to do it... I've tried sending messages.

I have blocked your company from being able to charge my credit card which you are not allowing me to delete from your page.

Can't unsub with a subscription. Can't cancel a subscription. Feed back button is broken. No response from emails i've sent.

Yet you continue to try and charge my account that I was only ever free trial for.

TL;DR
A developer wanted to unsubscribe from Appwrite but faced issues with payment and downgrading the account. Appwrite emailed confirming the downgrade but continued trying to charge the card, so the developer canceled the card. They also faced difficulties in deleting the account and removing the credit card information. The solution provided was to reach out to support for assistance in deleting the account.

You said you're getting an error when trying to submit a support ticket? Can you share details on the error?

You sent a support ticket on October 4th and we responded to it on October 7th 🧐 Did you not get the response?

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out.

Taking a look looks like you've successfully downgraded your account, so you should be good to go here. You will remain on the Pro plan until the end of your invoice and will be downgraded after the cycle ends.

If there's anything further you need, please feel free to reach out.

******. Then after this email was sent you Appwrite continued to try and charge my card *****

  • I have now cancelled the card so that I can make my payments to my cc company without your company implementing charges ****
  • also I just opened up the account and my account was put back into the paid category after I downgraded it

Hot Tip: Before helping make other people apps, make a site that works well on your end

From what I understand (note, I'm not a core member/employee), technically you used/had Appwrite Pro during a month. Consequently at the end of the month you need to pay such month (not the next one). Due to that, appwrite was trying to charge you although it was successfully cancelled (because you're paying the preious month instead of the next month)

So I suppose that since the payment failed, appwrite tried charging it again because you have like an unpaid bill
