How to upgrade the cloud appwrite version or is it not possible? It's been in 1.1.2 for ages.

Cloud server belongs to appwrite, you can't change its version. I think it will be updated in a few days.
Yes, probably after all bug fixes 1.4.1 has. For now it's a bit unstable
