๐Ÿ‘‹ Hi @everyone

The Appwrite community has always been at the core of everything we do. We love the supportive discussions and cooperative atmosphere ๐Ÿ˜Š

We want to make it easier for everyone to keep track of their discussions and upgrade the experience on our Discord server ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ

Following community requests, we're converting the <#1072905050399191082> channel into a forum. The old support channel will be archived under <#564161373148414012> so no information is lost.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Support posts will be in a thread format, making it easier to follow and search. ๐Ÿ‘‰ All posts will have at least 1 label, identifying which SDK, Service, or Platform you need help with. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Answered questions will be marked with a <:appwritecheck:851487062112731146> to make it easier to find unanswered questions.

This will make it easier to find old discussions through search ๐Ÿ” and allow the heroes of our community <:appwritehero:826863791131852810> to find those in need of support!

We've been planning this change for a while, and we're excited to see how it can benefit our amazing community.

Have a great week, everyone! <:appwriteheart2:870651059255791677> Vincent

TL;DR
The support forum has been converted to a thread format to make discussions easier to track. Old support channels have been archived in a new channel. The change was made to improve the user experience and make it easier to find old discussions through search. No information has been lost.

@VincentGe love the new idea for the support forums going forward -- I'm not trying to step on any toes here, but you lost a HUGE community value proposition by deleting all the old channels. Appwrite had years and years of questions and answers that are no longer accessible and searchable. By making them not accessible via search, Appwrite is effectively building the community's knowledge back from scratch. It'll take years to gain that back if ever.

EDIT: Right now the old info is not available. It sounds like it's supposed to be available under a "support-old" channel that isn't accessible yet.

They're archived ๐Ÿ‘€ We can make the archive available to the public. None of the information will be lost. CC: @bradleySchofield can you check permissions on the archived channels?

Make sure you set the archive channels to read-only, too ๐Ÿ‘€
