Rank 2: Process
Hi Appwrite team! 👋
I have a question regarding my Appwrite Education benefits.
I originally claimed the Appwrite Education offer through the GitHub Student Developer Pack during my diploma (2023–2026). I've now taken admission to B.Tech through Direct Second Year Entry (DSE), and my GitHub Education eligibility was successfully reverified on October 23, 2026.
However, I received an email stating that my existing Appwrite Education organization, GitHub Student Organization, will expire on November 2, 2026.
I also noticed the September 30 announcement stating that the six-month term limit for Appwrite Education organizations will be enforced starting November 1.
Could you please clarify a few things?
- Since my GitHub Education has been reverified, can I reclaim the Appwrite Education offer for another six months?
- Can I do this using the same GitHub account and email address I used previously?
- Is it possible to renew my existing organization and retain my current projects and data, rather than creating a new organization?
- Should I take any action before November 1, or will my current organization remain accessible until its stated expiry date on November 2?
I'm still a student and would love to continue using Appwrite for my academic and personal projects. I'd really appreciate any guidance on how to proceed.
I am attaching screenshots of both the GitHub Education approval email and the Appwrite expiry reminder.
Thanks for your help! 🙏
