this PR https://github.com/appwrite/appwrite/pull/14434 was created two hours ago and removes the sign in with gitlab and more buttons from the self hosted console.
I don't see any explanation why? I need the Single-Sign-On to the self-hosted console and this was just moved to cloud-only, despite working just fine before?
Could you rethink this or at least explain why this needed to be removed? Another password only login with no MFA for console admins which is effectively a root user is IMHO a security nightmare, or did I miss something here?
Summary
A user is expressing concern about the recent removal of GitLab and other sign-in options from the self-hosted version 2.5.0 of Appwrite's console. They are seeking clarification on why these features were removed, especially since they relied on Single-Sign-On (SSO) functionality. The user highlights the security risks associated with relying solely on password-based login without multi-factor authentication (MFA) for console administrators. There is no provided solution in the support thread, but the user is asking for reconsideration or an explanation for the changes.
