Rank 2: Process
Hey, I have two servers running on Oracle and I’m currently using Supabase, but I want to move to self-hosted Appwrite because it fits my product idea. I have two questions:
- Postgres: Appwrite Cloud already offers Postgres. I want the same on self-hosted, so I can use it the way I use Supabase today.
- Firewall: I’d like to be able to set up and edit firewall rules on my own terms.
Summary
The user is transitioning from Supabase to self-hosted Appwrite and has two main inquiries:
1. They want the option to use Postgres with self-hosted Appwrite as it is available in Appwrite Cloud.
2. They want the ability to set and edit firewall rules independently.
The solution for Postgres support is to check if Appwrite supports Postgres in their self-hosted setup or consider integrating it manually. For firewall rules, the user may need to refer to Appwrite’s documentation or manage their server’s firewall settings directly depending on their hosting environment.
