Sites: Auto deploy on wrong github repository pull request

Hello, I have kinda with UAT(testing env) and prod env. When i pull request from dev -> uat, which stands as pre-prod environment to fully test all functionality before going to real product, appwrite site bot automatically starts to build for uat and prod sites env, even tho - prod site has different repo branch selected, for which has to be active auto-deploy.

Is it expected behaviour to see build for pull requests made to other branches too?

Also what i saw behaviour. i have three branches: master, uat, dev.
So for example ,even everytime i commit and push all the changes to dev branch, like every 5 minutes or so, so I will have builds in my appwrite sites for prod and uat sites also on every dev commit, BUT: they builds, but not go live, if I pull request to master.

Yes, all good here.
Push to any branch triggers deployment. Only pushes to production branches are marked active (become live on production URL), the rest have their own preview URLs

In setup with multiple projects per environment, I can see how this can be annoying, 3 previews instead of just one.
This is actually welcomed in some scenarios - you could have different env vars for each setup, and each preview might be of a value to you.

I personally also have few projects with staging/production projects separated. What I do is for staging, I have production branch as main, and I have all previews here too - this is connected with git.

For production project, I dont have git connection. Instead, I use GitHub actions triggered on tag creation (release on GitHub), which uses Appwrite CLI to make a deployment.

This means no double previews, and utilizing existing GitHub feature (releases) to trigger a production release - allowing me to easily rollback from GitHub actions too.

I am sure there are other ways of setting it up too, so feel free to experiment, see what works best for you
