Current pricing seems reasonable enough about what is someone getting for 25$. But for some people most of these resouces are getting wasted. Like the bandwidth. As a mobile app developer, I cannot think how an app is supposed to consume, 2TB of bandwidth.
I talked with some people that they dont have so much trafic and wanted me to check if a lesser paid teir was available. I would like to propose some increased limit based on the free tier instead of reduced limit on the pro tier.
This helps a startup platform to actually grow instead of paying bunch for db cost before generating enough revenew.
I'd like to offer my POV here, too: At the moment I'm using Appwrite for a really small project for personal use, no plans to take it commercial so it's more cost-sensitive than other things.
I am now considering whether I should just self-host Appwrite on a <$5 Hetzner box although I really like how easy it's made developing this side project and would like to throw those $5 or $10 per month towards Appwrite if I can get decent usage for that, slightly increased limits (although so far not really that important) and just no project pauses. But I can't really justify $25 per month until I have like 4-5 projects like that.
