I am getting a false positive malware issue when trying to access appwrite.network domain. They are currently classifying it as such. Is this something that I am doing wrong. Or does have to do with something else.
I can help you with this domain categorization issue. The problem isn't something you're doing wrong. DigiCert has categorized appwrite.network as "Malware" in their system, which is likely a false positive. This can happen when automated security systems incorrectly flag legitimate content, or if the domain was previously associated with suspicious activity and hasn't been recategorized yet. Since your dispute was rejected, DigiCert believes their categorization is correct based on whatever data they're seeing. This could be outdated information or a mistake in their detection systems. Question: Is appwrite.network your own domain, or are you trying to access a service hosted there? This will help determine the best approach to resolve this.
Hi Joshua , thank you for taking the time to answer, I have got a nextjs application running on appwrite cloud sites , haven`t gone over to a named domain yet , so it the one that I got from Appwrite.
Since appwrite.network is Appwrite Cloud's domain and not yours, the malware categorization is their infrastructure issue affecting multiple users. The best solution is to switch to your own custom domain, which bypasses this problem entirely and gives you more control over your application.
I can help you set this up properly and resolve any related issues. If you'd like personalized assistance with migrating to a custom domain or handling this situation, feel free to message me privately and we can discuss working together on this. Would you like some quick guidance on getting started with a custom domain?
Thank you Joshua , I will need to run it by my boss first but thank you for the offer. I will message you once I have an answer from him.
I think we can have this marked as solved, seeing as we probably don`t want it to in the que as a pending
