?i am using appwrite sites to host.
https://eldarlandslarp.appwrite.network/ it's currently of a older version.
OK, you're using cloud. What's your project and site IDs?
404... oohh cuz its private github page , hah project 68bb084a0032b02608c4 site 68bc6329000dca3a9850
Thanks, I'll pass the info on, and share when I have more info
the github should work now
Awesome this will help the team.
@The Hat Guy I just tried to access your site from a different region via VPN, I got the timeout at first, but after checking again it worked. It seems like the cold start is above normal, are you doing anything special on server start?
? ..i wouldn't know how to do anything special on start.
better yet what would be considered special?
got it. i'll keep looking into it, could be something on our side too, we'll check
Hey @The Hat Guy it's working absolutely fine on my end too
yeh, seems its just a very long cold start and once at least one runtime starts it works smooth
Yeah it the site is on older version.
@The Hat Guy can you try building it with turbopack? https://appwrite.io/blog/post/turbopack-support-appwrite-sites Turbopack reduced the build size significantly which can lead to significantly faster cold starts
I just put on a new version that should time out.
try to reload in a minute see if it "fixes" itself
Recently, there were few people complaining about this same timeout error. And the surprising thing is, when I tried running their websites on my end, those sites worked absolutely fine. Without any error. Don't know why the creators only were facing this issue while everybody else can see it. I guess sometimes it could be region or browser issue too.
most likely slow cold starts, we're working to optimize this as much as possible on our end as well, should expect a few more releases to address this point.
We really appriciate your & team's quick responses on our issues!
I pushed the build with turbo pack. question, is it just me That page doesn't update in real time for? I have to reload the page for it to show any kind of updates...
you mean after deployment?
12 mins - I just hit reload and got another time out.
Yeah watching the deployment of the site doesn't seem build in real time.
If I want any updates I have to reload or open a new page like this
