Hello. I am having this issue above. Is there a way to make this faster? I created this project a while back when appwrite only supported Frankfurt servers. Will changing that help the speed? If so how do I do that?

TL;DR
Password recovery emails from a Flutter app using a self-hosted instance of Appwrite on a server are slow when using Google SMTP, but work fine with other mail services. This seems to be a specific issue with Google SMTP causing delays.

Hmmm weird. What email provider are you using?

None? Am I supposed to?

It's the default no-reply email that appwrite sends

I mean, is it Gmail where you're receiving the email?

when was the last time you triggered and when it arrived?

Checking in on this topic. My reset password emails are taking nearly 10 minutes. My custom SMTP is through my Google Workspace gmail (custom domain). I am triggering this event within a Flutter app, using a self-hosted instance of Appwrite (1.8.0) on a server that is right next to me.

Its google smtp is the problem afaik. Cause when I used other mail services, the mails were fast. But when I switched to google, the mails were very slow.
