I wanted to switch from local storage to S3 (more specifically Backblaze B2), but I would like to have ~100GB on my VPS as read cache, so most frequently accessed files from Appwrite Storage would be stored locally.

Is it possible to do with Appwrite or do I need to seek for other options, like mount B2 as local folder with Rclone?

I didnt see any env variable for that so I'm not sure.

TL;DR
Developers are wondering if self-hosted Appwrite supports read cache for S3 (Backblaze B2). They want to store frequently accessed files locally as a cache on their VPS. They are not sure if Appwrite supports this feature and are considering using Rclone to mount B2 as a local folder. Solution: Appwrite does not have a built-in read cache feature for S3. Developers may need to explore alternatives like mounting B2 as a local folder using Rclone.
