Appwrite MCP server 1.0 is now stable

The Appwrite MCP server is now stable with version 1.0.0. This release marks the existing server as stable, not a new workflow. Keep using your connected AI tools to discover Appwrite actions, work with your projects, and search the documentation.

More actions from your AI tools

The updated API catalog lets your AI tools:

  • Work with email OTP verification and recovery: Request and confirm one-time codes for email verification and account recovery.
  • Configure more OAuth providers: Set up Cloudflare, Kakao, Resend, TikTok, and Webflow, alongside the existing providers.
  • Manage project API keys through your organization: Create, list, update, and delete project keys, including short-lived ephemeral keys. These organization administration actions are available through the remote OAuth connection, not local project API-key mode.
  • Configure the Appwrite messaging provider: Create and update the provider through MCP.

Fewer failed calls

Project details, framework lists, database specification lists, and varchar column lookups now handle response shapes that previously caused parsing errors. Tools with no parameters also reject unexpected arguments before making an API call, so your AI tool gets a clear error instead of an SDK failure.

The remote server is updated automatically. If you run MCP locally for a self-hosted instance, update mcp-server-appwrite to version 1.0.0.

If your AI tool caches Appwrite tool names, refresh its tool discovery. The catalog now uses tables_db_create_cutover instead of tables_db_cutover_migration and no longer advertises removed dev-key, log-listing, or project-usage endpoints.
