Appwrite Avatars can now return a profile photo for any user. avatars.getPhoto tries the user's OAuth2 identity photo, then Gravatar and Libravatar, then their initials, and returns a neutral placeholder when none of them has an image, so every user gets an avatar.
Pass current() for the signed-in user, any user's ID for comment authors and member lists, or an emailHash and name for people who don't have an account yet. Appwrite stores photos from 33 OAuth2 providers, including Google, GitHub, Discord, and LinkedIn, and refreshes them when the user signs in again or refreshes their session.
