Introducing the Affiliates program, a new way to share Appwrite, track referrals, and earn Cloud credits when people you refer upgrade to Pro.
A lot of Appwrite’s growth has come from developers sharing it with other developers.
Maybe you recommended Appwrite to a teammate, used it in a tutorial, mentioned it in a community thread, or introduced it during a workshop. However it happened, those recommendations have played a huge part in helping more developers discover and build with Appwrite.
That kind of support has meant a lot to us, and we wanted to give something back to the people helping us grow.
Today, we're introducing the Affiliates program: create invite links from your Appwrite account, share them however you already share things, and earn $15 in organization credits to use on Appwrite Cloud every time someone you refer upgrades to Pro. It's live on Appwrite Cloud today.
What is the Affiliates program?
The Affiliates program is a referral program for developers. You generate invite links in the Appwrite Console, and when someone signs up through one of your links and later upgrades to Appwrite Pro, you earn $15 in organization credits that you can claim and use on Appwrite Cloud. Clicks, signups, and conversions are tracked for you, and attribution lasts 180 days after signup.

There’s no separate affiliate dashboard to manage. Everything lives in your Appwrite account.
How to join the Affiliates program in three steps
1. Create an Appwrite Cloud account. If you already build on Appwrite, you're done with this step. Affiliates lives in your personal account, not inside a specific project.
2. Open Affiliates in the Console. Go to Account, then Affiliates. This is where links, referrals, rewards, and analytics all live.
3. Create your first invite link and share it. Create an invite link for a campaign or channel and share it with your audience. Appwrite tracks visits and attributes signups made through that link.
Create a separate link per channel instead of reusing one everywhere. A link named youtube-auth-tutorial and a link named conf-workshop cost nothing extra, and they tell you which audience actually converts.
Track referrals and earn Cloud credits
You can track your affiliate activity directly from the Appwrite Console. See how many people clicked your links, signed up, and upgraded to Pro, all in one place.
You can also manage your invite links, referrals, and rewards from the same dashboard, and claim credits when they're ready.
Attribution lasts for 180 days, so people have plenty of time to try Appwrite before deciding to upgrade.
When a referred user upgrades to Pro within the 180-day attribution window, you earn $15 in Appwrite Cloud credits. Rewards can be claimed from the Affiliates dashboard.
Claiming asks you to pick an organization you own, and the credits are added there as organization credits that you can use on Appwrite Cloud.
Here’s how the referral journey works:

Only Pro upgrades generate a reward. Referrals that stay on the Free plan can still appear in your referral analytics as attributed signups.
