Hi I tried to update form Appwrite 1.3.8 to 1.4 or 1.4.1, but after docker compose up I get in my appwrite-mariadb Access Denied for user root@.... If i jump back to 1.3.8 everything runs fine.

So I can't get appwrite 1.4+ up and running to tigger the migrate command. Do I have to change something else?

thanks in advance

TL;DR
User encountered "Access Denied" error when trying to update Appwrite from version 1.3.8 to 1.4 or 1.4.1 with Appwrite-Mariadb. Solution: Run migration in version 1.4.0 first, then move to version 1.4.1 and run migration again. Backup the data in version 1.3.8 before attempting the update.

Okay. Just warn: make a backup in 1.3.8 before making everything for in case you like to come back.

Then how to go to 1.4.1:

  1. Go to 1.4.0 and run migration
  2. Go to 1.4.1 and run migration again

yes worked. Thanks a lot. Didn't know that I should trigger the migrate command even if mariadb throws an error πŸ™‚
