Starting November 1st, 2026, we'll begin enforcing the standard six-month term for Appwrite Education organizations. The program is here to stay, and new verified GitHub Student Developer Pack members can continue joining and getting Pro resources to learn and build on Appwrite Cloud.
Six months gives students plenty of time to learn Appwrite and get their first projects running. After that, you can choose the plan that fits what you're building next: Free for learning and side projects, Pro for apps that need more resources, or Start for students in India and Nepal.
If your organization is already past six months, you'll have until November 1st to choose a plan. Otherwise, we'll remind you in the Console five weeks before your Education term ends. Choose a plan and everything continues exactly as it is: your projects, data, and settings stay in place.
If you don't choose a plan by the end date, your organization will be disabled until you select one. Projects will only be deleted later according to our standard retention process.
