Agents connected to the [Appwrite MCP server](/docs/tooling/ai/mcp-servers) can now subscribe to events in your project and react when they happen, without polling. MCP Events is the newest extension to the Model Context Protocol, proposed as [SEP-3415](https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/modelcontextprotocol/pull/3415), and Appwrite is among its earliest adopters, so you can build event-driven agents today.

Six events are available at launch: new users, failed function executions, finished function and site deployments, new rows, and uploaded files. Agents on your machine receive events over an open stream, and agents with a public HTTPS endpoint receive them as signed webhook calls. Each subscription is an Appwrite webhook in your project.
